Want to learn how to coupon?

Hi, I'm Brianne and my friend Aimee and I are going to use this blog to teach you to be coupon saavy, save money and fill your food storage/stock pile! Couponing can be confusing, overwhelming, and frustrating BUT it can also be very very rewarding!

A few things you need to know to get started:
1. SAVE all your coupons, even if they are for products you do not normally use. (we will talk about coupon storage later, but for now just keep 'em in a box, binder, drawer what have you) Coupons are available online as well as in the ads. Ads will be available for purchase here on the blog SOON!
2. Study your ads. Walmart, Target, Kmart and Walgreens ads come out on Sunday. Broulims and Albertsons on Wednesday.
3. Be prepared to change the way you shop. For the first 1-3 months you will be buying all your regular items and atleast 1-2 items in bulk that will last you up to 3 months.

For example:
Gatorade was on my grocery list as a staple that I purchased weekly for my husband's lunches. Broulims had 8 pack Gatorade B1G1 (buy one get one FREE) so I bought one 8 pk for $6.99 and got the 2nd 8pk FREE. Normally I spend $4.49 for an 8pk at Walmart. BUT at Broulims I was spending $3.49. Then when I got there I saw a coupon on each 8pk for $1 off an 8pk so I used $1 off 1 for both 8pks. (you can use a coupon for the each item even if it your Free item in your B1G1 scenario) So I was getting each 8pk for $2.49. So I bought 10 8pks. I spent $25 on Gatorade that will last me 2 1/2 months when I would have spent $45. Now that Gatorade purchase should last me until it either goes on sale for the same deal or a better one. So I won't have to pay retail for Gatorade.

The best deals are obviously the FREE deals and those are always the easiest to add into your budget when you begin couponing, so we are going to dedicate this blog to helping you fill your food storage/stock pile by helping you get the BEST deals weekly. These deals will include items that are either $1 or less... hopefully FREE and SMOKIN' deals which are the lowest prices we've ever seen an item.
